Human Waste Project / Suicidal Tendencies
In: Los Angeles, CA @ The Whisky a Go-Go
Date: March 18, 1997
By: Joshua Sindell

Aimee Echo is a trooper. When the blonde haired helion tells us that she's had a bad case of flu all day - and hocks a cricket ball sized gob of phlegm across the stage to prove it - the audience stands with mouths agape, because her voice remains so strong and fluid. Her band, Human Waste Project marry Rage Against The Machineesque funk to the sonic sludge of early Nrivana, with guitarist Mike Tempesta (brother of White Zombie's John) peeling out an awesome racket. Now that HWP are signed to Disney's Hollywood Records label, watch Mickey Mouse start to board up his home.
