//FUN FACTS: She was vegetarian for a number of years before becoming fully vegan. Her favorite album ever is The Cure's "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me". She was always in trouble with her teachers, and admits she spent a lot of time in detention after being dubbed "a distraction for other students". She also was in Brownies, but got kicked out. She was the city mascot for Seal Beach and wore a red velvet mini-dress, white go-go boots and carried a seal. She once ran her own body piercing studio at a place called the Electric Chair in Huntington Beach. She was the one responsible for Jonathan Davis from Korn's famous eyebrow piercing. She loves the word flabbergasted. Her favorite movie is Edward Scissorhands. She is the nicest person you could ever meet. She frequently enjoys a bottle of wine or two. She has awesome tattoos. Aimee also believes she's an alien. Aimee believes she can fly. Seriously.
//ABOUT HER NAME: "I got rid of my old surname three years ago in a witchcraft rite. Echo's the name my mother gave to me. In witchcraft, you take the name your mother gives to you."
//ABOUT BEING A SINGER: "Ooh, I think I’d have to say the show, the live show. Playing in front of people. Getting to dance and sing. Just the rush of when you’re putting something out and people take it and give it back to you. That is probably when there’s give and take onstage from the audience and myself, or and the guys. It’s the most incredible feeling ever. It’s better than anything, I think. It’s unbelievable to...I guess the first time I heard an audience of a lot of people I got the chills all over my body and I knew that bringing people together...‘cause that’s what it is. When you get a lot of people in the same frame of mind at once it makes like a magical experience. And I think that’s the high of it. Writing is really cool too, but as far as what gets me most here, <points to heart> is the show."
//ABOUT PLAYING INSTRUMENTS: "I play no instruments. I like to stay completely organic [laughs]. As a kid, I played flute in the orchestra. My fourth-grade teacher said, 'you need to be in music.' I instantly took to it. I goofed around on the piano and picked up bass for a bit. I have a really short attention span and my mind understands things a lot better than my fingers do. What I want to hear doesn't come out and I get frustrated. If I pick up a guitar it's totally frustrating. My fingers are like 'No, we don't want to work.'"
//WHAT ATTRACTS HER: "What attracts one person to another is freaky. I find that you either have to be complete opposites or almost completely the same. Having the same likes, saying the same things at the same time there has to be a connection for me. And they have to kiss good! It doesn't matter how good looking or how intelligent they are, after the first kiss I know whether it's on or not! I have to be with creative guys too. They have to be a musician, writer or artist for it to work. Accountants need not apply."
