name, position in the band, and favorite lyric from a Cure song..
Aimee Echo, singer, "It doesn't matter if we all die..."

Is there anything you'd like to talk about?
well I'd like to discuss that along with being merely Alive we also have to be Aware... I'd like people to come see a show and stop by our Merch booth where we have all sorts of informative propaganda...!!!

What are you most looking forward to about being a part of the Girlz Garage tour?
It will be interesting to share a bill with other women... I am excited about that!

With the different bands appearing on this tour, who are you most excited about?
Brassy... I am really curious to see them live, and Lennon

How did you become a part of this tour?
Kevin Lyman called me early early early one morning and asked if we would do the tour... I said yes, of course. I think Kevin and the people he surrounds himself with are an amazing force on the planet and we're happy to be a part of whatever they do... I guess it's good that I'm a girl isn't it - We get to do Warped Tour and Girlz Garage!

Will you be playing any new material?
Yes, we are writing our next record in the mountains now and will be playing some of those songs on the tour. I am thrilled to play new songs!!

How do you feel about more girl fronted bands coming out and getting more attention?
I think its cyclical. It is always difficult getting over the stigma of being a female in this business. For a long while now it has been slim pickins out there as far as bands with women in them being able to make it far enough to be heard and seen. It's not that the talent isn't there it's that there was a serious backlash against women in rock for awhile. The pendulum has again swung our way. I think we all need to focus on transcending gender and realizing the female voice is a lovely instrument and indeed girls can play really well. Let it go and not have it be about "girl fronted " band and be just "band" or "girl musician" and be just "musician". I initially was put off by the title of the tour being GIRLZ GARAGE. It took me a minute to discover that a certain amount of prejudice against women in music had shoved its way inside my own mind. I was sure that a certain group of people would be put off and not want to attend a "girl" tour. I decided it was time for us to do our part to remove the stigma from the word GIRL. So here we are, bringing the ROCK!

Do you think sometimes girl fronted bands get attention for the wrong reasons?
Not really, they don't get much attention at all... and if they do it is either paid for or it is deserved.

Are there any other bands that you would have liked to see on this tour?
Loads of them, Pretty girls Make Graves, Tsunami Bomb, the Distillers, Denali, Sahara Hotnights, the Donnas, Scarling, so many good bands....

When someone asks you about theSTART, how do you describe your music?
Delicious aggressive lovesick noisy dreamy loud...

Final Words...
Register to vote and educate yourself about what is going on in your country so that you can make knowledgable decisions about who and what your voting for. Know that eating meat is the #1 cause of death in our nation, come see the START play a show ( it'll get your heartrate up...
